Okay okay okay
But are you ok
Yesterday because you had to
Tomorrow because you need you
But what about today
I try, you say
Ok, But you need to today
You need there to be a way to be more than ok
For okay only gets us through the day
A pacifier, if I may
Temporarily providing a false sense of security
Never understanding
And always in the way
Mmmkay. -2 snapps and a circle
It's like a shield
Yet instead of blocking it absorbs
Till it's so heavy you can't hold it anymore
With it you drop to the floor
You are not okay
You can no longer bare what your load weigh
And don't you dare
It's not okay to share
Too many uninterested in walking in what you wear
So as you lay in the wade, waving your hands in dismay
They continue to pass by you, whispering
She's fine, she's okay
She made her bed
And that's where she shall lay
For if she is not okay it has nothing to do with me
Gaslighting is their specialty
So if their ok you should be okay too
Get the hell up, ain't nothing wrong with you
YOU ARE OKAY, they say
Because you are in But out of the way
So as you sink lower
They fly high
Never acknowledging they left you behind
And here, here is where you find self
You discover your minds wealth
You learn to be more than ok
You plant your feet
You ground yourself
You refuse to continue to wade
Before you know it your able to stand again
And when you do, you overstand
Now your heads above the cloud
Yet no need to look down.. on them
For all they know they are flying high
Not knowing above the clouds there is more sky
Once they realize they can't access your crown in which once they looked down
They ask if your okay
Your above it now
Kindred
Keen
And knowing!
